Verb-noun commands: 'take' <item>, 'drop' <item>, 'attack' <creature>, 'open' <door or container>, 'unlock' <door or container>, 'examine' <room, feature, or item>, read <writing>, eat <food>, pull <lever>, push <button>, wear <garment>.

Items not in your hand are stored in your backpack. You can view them using 'inventory'. You can 'take' one object into your hand at a time. Your other hand is holding your light source.

You are standing atop a drawbridge at the entrance to the dark_castle. To the north is the front_gate. To the south the way back home. To the east and west and below you are the moat.
